For those of you who are planning to participate or attend.

 

Thrilla In Wasilla IMAC - Sunday August 30 @ 9:30am

Place: Groeschel Field

Entry Fee:  Free for first time flyers in the Basic class; $15 for all
others (with a $10 discount for those with current IMAC membership).

Pilots Meeting: 9:30am (If you are running a little late, we will still try
to get you into the contest by having you fly a make-up round or something
if at all possible.)

 

If you want a practice flight before the contest you will have to get there
early (or better yet - do it on Saturday)!

 

Those of you who would like to participate in the freestyle and have music
(both of which are 100% optional and have no bearing on the actual IMAC
contest results), be sure to get your music (mp3 preferred) to Tom Simes at
president at alaskarc.org  [Or bring it with you on a usb thumb drive].

 

Bring your own lunch, snacks, and beverages.  I will probably have some
bottled water there too.

 

BRING CHAIRS!!!  Chair Pirates will be forced to walk the plank!  (Plus the
judges are much friendlier if they can actually sit down.)

 

Those of you who have judged and scribed in the past, please plan on doing
so again.  Those of you that haven't done either in the past, maybe we will
talk you into one or the other.  We will need all the judging and scribing
help possible.

 

I think that Smart-Fly is providing a few prizes that we will raffle off
afterwards too.
