No big rush. There's a bunch of open weekends in Aug. too, but July may be a better bet as far as the weather is concerned. I'm really glad your field is working out. I miss going out there for a weekend and hangin out in the sun and flying with you guys! There should be a picture attached to this from 2004. It was one of the last times we got out there.
Groeschel field is comming along great. We've been flying off a temporary strip for now, but we have another strip marked out adjacent to it that's 800' X 80'. It's already been roto-tilled thanks to Mike Mosessian, Pat Martin, and Bob Edison for renting equipment, and a bunch of volunteers who came out to work for a few days. Also, Wayne Brost (the guy we rented from last year) had a couple of his guys come out for a day with a big tractor and an offset disk.

Field is looking pretty good... Nothing compared to what you guys have to fly on now though. Yep camping is not an issue. I just got back to work lastnight, and have to look and see what the shut down man power looks like to see if I can actually get to go home for R&R or if I have to work over. I think the 18th & 19th would be OK, but give me a couple days to work on the schedule and see what we can do.

Hey Leni,
How's the new field doing out there? There's a couple weekends in July (18 & 19, or 25 & 26) that look good for a trip out there to fly with you guys. What do you think? What weekend would be best for you guys? There's at least a few pilots out here that I know of who would love to come out there for a weekend to fly with you guys this summer. Is it OK to camp there for a night or two?
