The insurance paperwork has been filed with the AMA and the field will
be an ensured flying site by the end of today (5/11/09). Just so there
is no misunderstanding, I have paid the $60 annual insurance fee for
this field out of my own pocket and at my own risk pending a vote by the
ARCS membership on whether to lease this field. No club funds have been
used to secure this insurance. Should the club decide not to lease the
field, the insurance fee will be my loss.

Armand sent a picture of Mike Allman flying his little electric which
has approximately 1.5" wheels. Traditional (not harrier style) take
off and landing went flawlessly, didn't even nose over. That is without
ANY prep work or mowing. The trick is to imagine what it will look like
with just a little work!

I'll post some additional pictures as I update the flying field info on
the web site. BTW, I'm also corresponding with the AMA to get our field
GPS locations and descriptions updated.
