Just a reminder that club elections will be held tomorrow night and

As some of you know we haven't been for quite a while as our Civil Air  
Patrol meeting is the same night as
Teeland Flying Club.  The young cadets in CAP are raising money for  
fallen soldiers this Christmas, in partnership with Wreaths Across  
America .  On December 12th wreaths are laid on soldiers graves at  
Cemeteries across the Nation.  We will be laying them at Fort  
Richardson.

Mike Mosesian just called me from the Elmendorf gate...  

 

He was attempting to get on Elmendorf to plow the runway.

The visitor's center has misplaced our sign on list and are not letting him
on.

So he drove way out there for nothing (from his place that is a long drive).

 

If any of you current or retired military people can get him on as a guest
(with his snow plow truck), please give him a call ASAP at 441-8029.

I sent the base another copy of our access list but they won't be able to do
anything about it until Monday morning at the earliest.

Given the current overnight temperatures combined with it likely being

Due to other activites in the gym this Sunday (11-29-09), indoor flying has been canceled.  Given the blizzard we are having, probably just as well.

This is a reminder for:

Title: ARCS holiday banquet @ Bell's Nursery - 13700 Specking Ave, Anchorage
In lieu of our normal monthly meeting, the December ARCS gathering is our  
traditional holiday banquet.  There will be no pretty plane competition and  
the main focus will be eating and socializing :)

This is a potluck affair so please bring in your favorites to share.  To  
ensure that we don't end up too dessert heavy, if your AMA number ends in  
0-6, please bring an entree.  If your number ends in 7-9, please bring a  
dessert.

The club will provide drinks, utensils, plates & cups.   Please remember to  
bring appropriate serving utensils and condiments for your dish.

The affair will start 1/2 hour early at 7:00 PM to make sure we have time  
to finish all the food ;)

See you there!  Friends and family are more than welcome!
