Hi All.

Steve McLaughlin and I have been working on a little project on the side
(with additional help provided by Ed Cunningham).

We have created a discussion forum that any and everyone is welcome to join.
The web address is www.akrcs.com/phpBB3. The forum is still really new so
there aren't a lot of different topics yet. Feel free to jump in and create
new ones.

We did create one section of the forum for selling/buying/trading etc. So
if you have something you want to sell/buy/trade/barter, put it up on the
forum, post some pictures and I'd recommend sending an email to this email
list too. There is another area for 'build threads' if anybody wants to
share a current (or past) building project.

We've also been collecting photos and making a website to share them with
everybody. The address of the website is www.akrcs.com.

So far the pictures have come from a collection of photos from our Fairbanks
trip this summer, some from Steve's stash, some from Mike Allman's camera,
and a whole BUNCH from 'Mister Ed'. In fact, what is currently on the
website probably only represents about 10% so far. Still have a lot of work
to do to get the rest of them out there for public consumption (so keep
checking back).

Note: this is not the official club website. No paypal, membership,
meeting minutes, members area, member roster, etc. For the official club
website, go to www.alaskarc.org. This is just more of a picture sharing
site for fun and pleasure.

Who knew? Steve is pretty handy with computers! Maybe this will keep him
from practicing so much and we might be able to beat him a few times next
season! [That's what she said.]

[Disclaimer: The site is going through a lot of morphing during this stage,
so don't be surprised if it looks different from day to day for awhile.]
