St Benedicts church at 8110 Jewel Lake Road  (the location of Lumin Christi HS) has offered a service opportunity to our group.   It involves painting the Outreach building on the church property between the gym and the rectory.  The building is exactly like the club house on Elmendorf so it's not a very big and we only need to paint 3 sides of it.  So far, Mr Ed has done most of the hard prep work and all that is needed now is a few hours to finish the job.
 
We will have painting parties on Thursday, August 5th (primer day) and Friday August 6th (finish coat day) starting at 6:00 PM and probably going as late as 8:00 PM. Four of us an evening could get this done quickly. We might even have fun!
 
Please contact me by e-mail or give me a call if you have questions and/or can commit to a day (or two).
 
If you can make one or both of these work parties, I'm sure the church will be grateful and it will go a long ways to assuring we continue to have a place to fly on Sundays in Anchorage at a VERY reasonable cost.
