[AlaskaRC] Gliding and Grilling at Groeschel

Folks,

 

Armand & Ed are conspiring to bring a grill to Groeschel field in time for
the glider contest this Saturday (10AM).  Bring your grillables and enjoy a
day of soaring on an awesome field!

 

I will have a 2M EPP sailplane available for anyone who'd like to fly but
doesn't have a glider.  For those of you with electric planes, the contest
rules allow for up to a 5 minute runtime, which is enough to get just about
any old thing up to speck height.  

 

This will be my first flight of the season, and I suspect other folks are in
the same boat.  Be sure and cycle your transmitter/receiver/flight packs in
advance, and give your plane a good inspection before putting it up in the
air.  There will be plenty of opportunities for practice flights before and
between rounds, so you can get your thumbs warmed up too.
