Club members and guests,

Steve and I went out (to Groeschel) Saturday and mowed the field (for the last time this year). We also put away most of the equipment for the winter. The mower has been put away for the season, along with the wind sock, bbq grill, and other misc. items. The runway looks great!

The field is NOT closed for flying though! But please, if you do go out and fly, keep in mind that it could snow at anytime - so when you leave, make sure everything is put away as if it were the last flight of the summer season.

I will also be calling the Rent-A-Can folks (Monday) to have the potty removed for the winter. Typically that means the can will still be there for another week or two until their normally scheduled service visit. Just don't be surprised if you go out there and the can is gone!

If the weather is good, I will be out there today (Sunday) for a little bit.
This summer I started carrying two transmitters and assorted buddy cords. If you see me out, I'd be glad to get you on the buddy box and let you fly any of my planes! You can get first hand tips on 3D and/or precision maneuvers (or just get some flight time/training). Also you can answer that question that has been kicking around in the back of your head... "is it all about the specific plane I buy or can I [insert name of desired maneuver here] with my [insert the name of your plane here]?".

Examples:
"Can I 'hover' with my 'cub'?"
"Can I 'knife edge with my '2ch glider'?"
"Can I 'do an 8-point roll' with my 'SAMs plane'?"

Hope to see you soon. [Don't forget, the club meeting is this Tuesday!]
