Hello Gabriel,
Unfortunately I can't make it this evening, but I am CC' ing this reply
and information to our other club officers to see if they have ideas.
Another broader resource in the R/C community up here is our e-mail list
and I'll also forward your request over there.
The summary of Gabriel's request is he is looking for someone to help
mentor is son through building a PT-20 in association with a school program:
We purchased a PT-20 airplane kit and some yellow, orange and red skin.
This is a wooden airplane. We have not purchased the motor or remote
control system. The manual is here:
http://manuals.hobbico.com/gpm/gpma0116-0118-manual-v1_2.pdf
The ROPES program requires that the kid spend a minimum of 15 hours in
the project. I think it is going to take more than 15 hours and I am
planning to make myself available to help along the way. The ROPES
program also requires that we find a mentor outside the immediate family
and so I would like to ask if you would be available to meet few times
with my son and the school teacher.
And here is Gabriel's contact information:

Not sure if you have some availability. I believe there is a meeting
next week in the school (Roger’s Park elementary). I will get the day
and time and let you know tonight.
Please let me know. Thank you, Gabriel.C 907-440-1822

Possible mentors for your son for RC Airplanes
HI Gabriel,
I understand your son is doing the Rites of Passage Experience (ROPES)
program at Rogers Park Elementary as part of his school transition from
Elementary to Middle School and the focus of ROPES is on independent
learning and connecting academics to real life experiences. The program
goal is for students to demonstrate they can apply the Habits of Mind
independently as self-directed learners ready for their middle school
years.
You mentioned that your son is doing an RC airplane for his ROPES
project. Here are some of the people I know would be willing and
interested in helping him and serving as a mentor to him by meeting with
him a couple of times and showing him their RC Aircraft.

you look at their Events page you will see there are a couple of events
coming up in early October that you and your son might attend. Also
there is contact info on their website.
