The Glider Contest, May 30 2020

 

There will be a glider contest at Groeschel Field near Wasilla, AK on May 30
from 10A till 5P.

The events will be Sailplane A, B, & C and Electric A, B, & C.  Consult the
AMA Sailplane Rules for 2019 20120 for details.

Doug Franklin and Bob Stephens will be the CDs.  There will be no entry
fees.

 

Sailplane flying in an open field is a very safe activity. Due to the
pandemic, these precautions will be followed:

1.	If you are ill, stay home
2.	Everyone will practice 6 foot social distancing.
3.	There will be no communal potluck or BBQ lunch.  Everyone should
bring their own food and drink.  The club grill will be available.
4.	No one will make fun of those choosing to wear gloves and mask.

 

This will be the first event of the year sponsored by ARCS but all AMA
members are invited to attend.  The field will be in great shape, weather
will be fine, and winds will be gentle.
