Well gang let me first thank all of you that attended the August meeting,
it was great to have so many of you involved. Our financial report shows we
have reached our goal for funding this year. This included some lawn mower
repairs and outhouse service. Not to much to report other than that good
news. Thanks to Lee Truesdale for donating airplane parts to be auctioned
off at the meeting and donating the proceeds to the club.
The main reason for this email is to let everyone know the Anchorage Hobby
feast is scheduled for August 24th. ARCs will be represented and have the
opportunity to put on flying demonstrations during the event. If you wish
to gain early access and plan to participate in the event please provide me
notice of this by Friday the 9th.
I have to let AHH know so they can prepare your pass. So far we have
myself, Matt and Owen Biag, Bob Stevens and the Shelton boys planning to
attend. AHH would like for some of our members to bring and setup some
large scale models as static displays. I plan to setup my models if my
vehicle is repaired in time so I can transport them (unfortunately my Tahoe
has had a melt down and is at the dealer for some surgery). Any club member
that is interested is invited to come hang out and help try to create some
interest in our hobby and club. Try your hand at flying in the Dome.
I would like to thank Rod for taken such great care of our field and
runway. My thanks go out to all of the contest directors and members that
participated. Special thanks to Mike for allowing us to use Bell's Nursery
as a meeting place. Remember your local hobby store that provided gift
cards for all of our contest. Please come out and support Anchorage House
of Hobbies in this event. let's show them our appreciation for their
support.
