Dr. Lin was surprised to find rather extensive lymph node metastasis of his bladder cancer. He did not find any organ involvement yet which is very much on the plus side. He anticipates a one week hospital stay to build up Joe's much diminished strength and then we will have to discuss a chemotherapy regime with the oncologists in Sequim.</div><div> </div><div>One unanticipated situation is the unavailability of bed space in the hospital so we had to spend the night in the Recovery Room with me trying to catch any semblance of sleep in a recliner crowded into a very narrow space. Five patients were held over here last night and the nurses tell me that even the Emergency Room had patients who required admission spending the night there. No one has a clue when we might get assigned to a room, but this situation has, by necessity, had the nurses ask for my help quite a bit. So, once again, I am only semi-retired!</div><div> </div><div>Thanks again to all of you for your concern and prayers.
