Thankfully, our youngest son had not yet returned to Florida and was still with me. We are so grateful that, miraculously, Joe was never in any pain and passed away peacefully in his sleep. He brought such great joy, adventure and love to his family throughout his 80 years and was a stellar example to our three sons as to the true meaning of being a father. If there ever was an officer and a gentleman, it was Joe.</div><div> </div><div>We are still in the discussion phase as to how we wish to honor him in memoriam. I personally wish to thank each and every one of you who have offered such wonderful support during Joe's journey with his bladder cancer. As a fighter pilot who was always in charge of everything, he was an amazingly compliant patient to this nurse who for once gave the orders during this, his final flight.</div><div> </div><div>Monica, his right seat partner</div></div></blockquote></div><br></body></html>
